    Dunton Bassett Primary School

Dunton Bassett Primary School is situated in the centre of the village and has been a focal point for the villagers and their children since 1849.  The name Dunton Bassett is derived from Donitone, which roughly translates as “homestead on the hill” and Bassett, which is a family name and was added later. The school serves the village of Dunton Bassett and surrounding villages and residential areas. There are approximately 85 children on roll, housed in the original school building, as well as a newer, purpose-built two classroom block. We also have our own extensive grounds, including playgrounds, a school field and access to a copse. View our website for more information and contact us to see our wonderful school in action.
